FOUR THREE EIGHT
Story by Jason Childs
The Group - Issue #4

In which a peaceful bus ride is interrupted; the author’s knowledge of World War Two revisionist literature is tested; personal space is violated; eggnog is suspected; feelings of misanthropy are triggered; some reflections on 21st century exhibitionism and individualism are expounded; J. Edgar Hoover is revealed for what he may well have been; silences grow increasingly awkward; and a cliff-hanger ending leaves us wondering whether the time a bus takes to make it up George St has anything to do with the trip’s duration.
